These videos seem to explain the procedure of re-tiling a slate roof pretty well. Nothing too arduous. Good knowledge for sense checking advice.
How bad are the existing slates? A few looked a little delaminated but most still looked good when I last looked. Flashing (or rather, complete lack of) looked the biggest issue, if I recall correctly. It should be possible to get this issue water-tight PDQ if someone has a roof ladder?
